It also engages in coal shipping and handling; rental of tugboats and barges for logistics activities; and hauling road services. In addition, the company is involved in the nickel refining, trading, and services businesses, as well as invests in coal and nickel mining. It also exports its products to China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Netherlands. The company was formerly known as PT Asia Antrasit and changed its name to PT Harum Energy Tbk in November 2007. The company was incorporated in 1995 and is headquartered in Jakarta Pusat, Indonesia. PT Harum Energy Tbk is a subsidiary of PT Karunia Bara Perkasa.
